realized he hadn't made a "best of 2008" so made one. these are the cuts i'll still appreciate should neither discoattack nor the mayan calendar impose the ixnay. nba at 50 is, next to the complete calvin and hobbes, my favorite picture book of all time. 2008 will go down in history as a good year in music, where the single made an inspired resurgence and music critics and makers alike threw the word "pop" at any light, chilly music with high notes. guys, fleet foxes do NOT make pop music. i like fleet foxes. i like "toxic." they aren't the same. ghet it shawty
