stuckupkid ft. lil' wayne

bang on a milli

stereogum
put me onto this consolidation of a song everyone has heard far too many times and a song that larry fats put me onto. the reorganization done both songs good, i think. the original a milli beat was one that every rapper seems to have liked but no rapper, fabolous and weezy <3 baby perhaps the only candidates to be left aside, cued up to great effect.

the original a milli beat, introduced to the blare of trumpets as a triumph of open space and lyrical facility by pop theorists, incorporated the queue of rappers endeavoring to summit the soundscape as mere accessory to a mammoth spectacle, paying hamiltonian homage in riding a giant fated to pounce so ponderously that only 2 dudes paddle out. less superswell slalom than bunny hill backdrop, the "bang on" breed's a less offensive chop and casts wayne in the tongue-wagging mutt marley&beat role that's seen him thrive so gloriously in the lighter moments of releases like da drought 3. partake, why dontcha?
