don't draft canibus

with the sounders gifted the number 1 pick by virtue of their standing as an expansion team, we've got a big choice to make. my temptation here would most always be to see if we can't harvest a goalscorer from the crop. successful defense can only be accomplished as a team, whereas even the most esoterically designed goals tend, ultimately, to end up in the goal based upon the final touch of a single player. unfamiliar with the draft rules with regard to conjoined siblings, i can't rightfully speculate on the potential for drafting a tactical core and am thus forced to conclude that our #1 pick would best be put to use in pursuit of a reliably prolific striker.

i don't know much about this draft class, but the trend over the past few years has been to draft somebody with his signature on a generation adidas contract with the first pick so i'm not sure if the seniors are necessarily the most relevant of the bunch. i think you have to draft with the following order of priorities, only flexible enough to accomodate crack music

1. striker
2. anchoring mid
3. 2 way center mid
4. fullbacks
5. center deeeeeeeeee
6. red ranger

i'm so hyped
